Volunteers Needed! Help support the Inside Council's Fundraiser for Freedom Service Dogs!
Greetings New Beginnings Beloveds,
The NBWC Inside Council, which is composed of twelve residents, is co-hosting a fundraiser for residents, by residents! The Inside Council along with other resident-led groups, will be hosting a Carnival themed fundraiser to benefit the Freedom Service Dog (FSD) program.
As many of you know, the FSD dog program employs residents as dog trainers, who train puppies that will become service dogs for veterans and first responders. In their appreciation for this program and the joy and purpose it brings to the DWCF community, residents decided to host a fundraiser in support of the program. Residents will purchase tickets to attend the Carnival event in the gym and then offer small donations for carnival games. NBWC will be providing food and our own Sarah Adams, will be performing.
The Inside Council has requested volunteers from our Outside community to support the event. We are in need of volunteers on October 4th from 9:30am-2pm. Volunteers will likely be helping to run the carnival games, serving food (hot dogs and cotton candy), and simply being present with one another. It is sure to be a fun day!
